PART1:

Often I have come across “I am spiritual but not religious”, mostly in orkut. This triggered me to think more about “spirituality” and “religion”. This led to my new research on “spirituality”.
Definitely “spirituality” sounds good than “religion” and there exists a difference between the two. Spirituality is explained in many ways. In short, “spirituality is realization of self-consciousness which leads to know more about the supreme power, deeper sense of self which frees us from many fears that plague us unnecessarily. We discover a greater inner peace, feel less self centered, less needy of others approval or recognition and become more happier and more loving people”. Many term this phenomenon as “SELF-LIBERATION”.

RELIGION:
Down the ages religion was genuinely occupation based like kshatriyaas, bramhanaas...etc. As the time passed human started to progress in his life. Innovations, discoveries happened rapidly which encouraged us to conquer what ever possible. Infact we started to conquer the nature itself which started the self destruction. There were many adverse that humans had to face against the nature. Later he realized that there exists a supreme natural power which controlled the whole universe. So man started to discover the supreme natural power at the same time fear started to creep amongst the people for there ill doings.

In the journey of discovering the supreme power few succeeded many failed. People who were successful became great gurus then namely, Shankara, Ramanuja, Jesus, Buddha,Prophet, and many more. They all tried to preach the “UNIVERSAL TRUTH” to the masses. They all preached in the way they followed to understand the supreme natural power, which was later called as “religion”. Unfortunately, religion was misdefined in the next generations which led to more confusion and questions arose about our social leaders and they were blamed as well. Even today there are many conflicts amongst the religions which have sent a wrong perception about the religion. Religion is the path to attain spirituality, irrespective of the ways u follow…may be Sufi, Christianity or Hinduism. But ultimately your destiny is the same
